Where it all began…

As I was washing windows this week, I came across this logo. Caradco means a lot to my childhood. It means riding in a charter bus with my mom, dad and sisters to watch Frank Thomas (The Big Hurt) hit home runs over the left field wall at Old Comisky Park in Chicago. It reminds me of employee appreciation days held at a park. It reminds me of my youngest sister who was born just after my dad started working at this company. It reminds me of early mornings with my dad as he went to work. And it reminds me that every time I wash windows, people get to spend more time with their families. Caracdo no longer exists (Jeld-Wen Windows bought them out), but the legacy remains.
